I can’t believe I haven’t written since Montréal—time really does fly when you’re having fun! From Montreal, we made our way to Toronto to visit my granddaughter Mila, her partner Ryan, and his father Ferdinand, who lives with them. They live in a stunning building right on the harbour, full of amazing amenities—there’s a pool, racquetball court, gym, and all kinds of classes like yoga. I was ready to move in permanently!

We visited Ripley’s Aquarium, which was both fascinating and peaceful. Mila and I also treated ourselves to a mani-pedi—such a fun girls’ day!

One of the highlights was walking to the St. Lawrence Market. What a fantastic place, full of delicious food and vibrant energy!

We spent lots of quality time just hanging out at home, playing games and enjoying each other’s company. The weather wasn’t great—cold wind and some rain—but it didn’t stop us from having a wonderful visit.
One thing we missed was the Miniature World of Canada, which my sister Lucille had recommended. But I’ve made a note of it for our return trip in the fall.
We had prepared a postcard for our MOM & SON GONE ROGUE before we left Moncton and we received them in Toronto.

We left Toronto on Friday. I ended up napping in the car while Martin tackled the traffic. He said it was pretty bad, and he took a couple of wrong turns, but eventually we made it out of the city. The drive toward Sault Ste. Marie was long and a bit monotonous—just miles of forest.
We stopped for the night in Elliott Lake, where we stayed at a Hilton—pretty much the only hotel around. It was pricier than we prefer, but I’d reached my limit for driving, especially with my vertigo acting up.
We just finished breakfast and are getting ready to hit the road again. We’re thinking about stopping in Wawa, but we’re playing it by ear as usual.
Thanks so much for following our adventures!
